Jeffrey Biegel
Jeffrey Biegel, an acclaimed pianist, is celebrated for his interpretations of standard piano repertoire and for commissioning over 25 new works for piano and orchestra by contemporary composers. His 2024 recording of Jake Runestad's "Dreams of the Fallen," reflecting on veterans' experiences, was nominated for a GRAMMY® for Best Choral Performance. Biegel's musical journey began at age three when surgeries corrected his hearing and speech impairments, inspiring a lifelong passion for music.
Throughout his career, Biegel has premiered significant works by composers like Jim Stephenson and Farhad Poupel, and he spearheaded the "Rhapsody National Initiative." In 2015, Moravian College awarded him an Honorary Doctorate for his contributions to music.
