Jeffrey Biegel, an acclaimed pianist, is celebrated for his interpretations of standard piano repertoire and for commissioning over 25 new works for piano and orchestra by contemporary composers. His 2024 recording of Jake Runestad's "Dreams of the Fallen," reflecting on veterans' experiences, was nominated for a GRAMMY® for Best Choral Performance. Biegel's musical journey began at age three when surgeries corrected his hearing and speech impairments, inspiring a lifelong passion for music.

Throughout his career, Biegel has premiered significant works by composers like Jim Stephenson and Farhad Poupel, and he spearheaded the "Rhapsody National Initiative." In 2015, Moravian College awarded him an Honorary Doctorate for his contributions to music. He has garnered acclaim for various recordings and participated in historical projects including the world's largest orchestral commissioning in 1998.

Biegel's discography includes recording for major labels like Naxos and Steinway & Sons, and he has collaborated with prestigious orchestras worldwide. Notably, he pioneered live internet recitals and continues to influence the commissioning landscape in modern classical music. Promoting new compositions, Biegel has garnered respect as a leading pianist, making significant contributions to both classical and contemporary music while frequently collaborating with eminent composers and orchestras.
